Skip the Sequins; 5 Alternate Choices for Your NYE Outfit

#1: The Metallic Skirt. Pair a metallic skirt with a black top, then vary up your accessories. For example, grey tights and maroon shoes, or a denim jacket. You want the skirt to pop but not be too matchy matchy.

#2. The Fair Isle Sweater. This classic winter knit may not scream glam, but pair it with a tulle or chiffon skirt and you've got real magic. Want to amp it up even more? Add a mismatched statement necklace.

#3. Winter White. This happens to be our favorite look for this season. This crisp, understated look is sure to be a standout. We suggest turning up the wow factor with jewelry in similar tones (i.e. pearls, diamonds, or silver) but if you're dying to add some color, you can go that route too.) Just one note, please don't pair these with black tights; we're over that look.

#4. The Metallic Sweater. If the metallic skirt isn't quite your thing, or you'd rather call attention to your top half rather than your bottom, then the metallic sweater is the way to go. Go for understated by wearing it over a button-down shirt, or glam it up with a long maxi skirt.
